Gallery 37 is a tuition-free summer apprentice artist program for high school students in the West Valley. Selected students earn college credit, gain real-world experience working with professional artists, and collaborate to design and create a permanent public mural for the City of Buckeye. The program offers a college-level learning environment, a scholarship upon successful completion, and hands-on experience in public art, teamwork, and creative careers. Open to students from all artistic disciplines.
Must be a current high school student (including outgoing seniors), ages 15–18 Reside within the West Valley Arts Council service area Submit a single PDF application including: A resume 1–2 letters of recommendation from a teacher or employer A portfolio of 3–5 original artworks (any artistic discipline) Attend a mandatory interview (March 19, 2026) Commit to the full program schedule (May 26–late June, Mon–Thurs, 9am–3pm)
Applicants must be 15–18 years of age as of June 1, 2026, be a current high school student (including outgoing seniors), and reside within the West Valley Arts Council service area. Preference is given to upperclassmen (juniors and seniors); however, exceptional underclassmen may be considered. Applicants must be able to commit to the full program schedule and all mandatory meetings. Incomplete or late applications will not be reviewed.
