Artist Statement
My paintings are an intimate study of nature's landscapes, inspired by my profound love for hiking and exploring. Each trek into the wilderness is not only an adventure for me, but a keen dialogue with the environment in which I capture through photography and translate into my paintings.
Hiking through diverse topographies and absorbing myself in natures magnificence provides me with a unique perspective and a personal connection to the scenes I paint. My photographs serve as the foundation for my work, allowing me to preserve the natural beauty of these landscapes and transform them into lively and vivid paintings.
Ultimately my goal is to immerse viewers in a spectrum of hues, textures and sensory richness. Optimistically awakening our inherent connection to the environment and propose a sense of quiet introspection, encouraging a renewed connection and a deeper appreciation for life, nature and the natural beauty that surrounds us all.
