David Murrieta
Artist Bio
David Murrieta was born in 1964 in Phoenix, Arizona. He attended Tolleson Union High School, and in senior year, also attended Phoenix Union High School Area Vocational Center in downtown Phoenix, and studied Commercial Art. In 1985, he graduated from Phoenix College with AA Certificate in Visual Communications, after that he attended Arizona State University and received a Bacheior degree in Studio Art. After graduating from ASU, he took education courses at University of Phoenix, to get a teaching certificate. He has been teaching art in various schools, Isaac School District, Tolleson Union High School District, Sierra Linda High School. During his education at ASU, he joined the Marine Corps Reserve, in a Combat Engineer Unit. and ended up serving overseas in Saudi Arabia in 1991, during the Persian Gulf War. He is also a Mural artist with various murals painted in the metro Phoenix area, and one painted in San Antonio Texas.
