Etty Yanai

I started drawing at an early age and was introduced to watercolors in my teens. I immigrated to the USA over 50 years ago. Shortly after arriving in California I went to school at the historic Hollywood Art Center, but art took a back seat to raising a family and work in finance. Our family moved to AZ in 2007. After retiring I rekindled my love of oil painting and actually, creating any kind of art, be it watercolors, pastels or colored pencils. “Creating art is part of my soul and I can’t imagine life without it. I need to create like I need air to breathe”, I often say. My preferred medium is oil, but due to the fumes and raising children, for many years I used water colors as well as colored pencils, charcoal, ink and Digital Art. I do take commissions for portraits and also pet portraits, just reach out to me!
