About
I am a nurse by profession, but art and creating is my passion. Born in 1969 in New York City, I grew up surrounded by art. When I exhibited interest and some skill, she was encouraged by my mother Sylvia to explore my interest and she cultivated my talent. Inspired by what I saw in the various museums I visited throughout the city as a child, I tried to incorporate those things in my art as I grew older. I attended the High School of Art and Design in Manhattan for a short time, but I walked away from art for a while. It took time and a global lockdown to give me the uninterrupted time to reconnect to what I loved and reignited my passion for creating. I am a fan of bright colors and textures, things that get your attention and draw you in to look further. I use canvas, acrylic paints and stones, feathers, gems or anything I think fits the vision. I have no one set style, but bright color is the thread through whatever I create. I am also a jewelry maker, and I do not make duplicates of my pieces in order to have it belong only to the person who purchases it. I create earrings, necklaces, bracelets, cell phone tethers as well as having the capability to customize phone cases.
